NH Life Sciences to Celebrate Doubling its Membership at 2nd Annual Live Free Life Science Event
BEDFORD, NH – NH Life Sciences (NHLS) saw continued growth over the summer with more than a dozen new members joining the effort to advance the life sciences industry and make New Hampshire a preeminent destination for patient-centered medical innovation. Members new and foundational will gather Nov. 12 to celebrate the organization’s growth at the signature Life Free Life Sciences event.
“This has been an extraordinary year for NHLS,” said Andrea Hechavarria, president and CEO of NHLS. “We started our organization with two members, and now we are 50-plus. We've effectively doubled our membership this year. Now, we are rolling out new programming, we're engaging in more events, and we're really unifying our membership across the state.”
New members include Tenovi, ALPCO, Adimab, BioXcell, Trellis Labs, HiARC, Arnion Bio, Pace Life Sciences, BBI Solutions, and the Hannah Grimes Center for Entrepreneurship. Associate member companies, which provide specific skills that support life science innovation, include Hoddess Cleanrooms, Predictive Monitor, Lehnen Lab, MadgeTech, The Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth and Electronic Imaging Materials.
New members Pace Life Sciences and HiARC will join Resonetics and Thermo Fisher Scientific, and academic member UNH in sponsoring the Live Free Life Sciences showcase, where industry veterans will swap knowledge on panels discussing workforce development and cost-saving measures. They will also have an exclusive opportunity to hear from New Hampshire Gov. Kelly Ayotte and Anna Puglisi, RAND Technology and Security Fellow and former Director for Technology and National Security at the White House.
NHLS members throughout the year have access to benefits such as events and programming, industry guidance and resources to connect with state and national officials. They can participate in the NHLS Edge preferred partner purchasing program, which offers members discounts on many of the lab and business supplies they are already using.
"Tenovi’s rapid growth ranked us No. 1 in New Hampshire, No. 2 in Boston, No. 11 in healthcare and No. 55 overall on the Inc. 5000 list,” said Dr. Nizan Friedman, CEO and founder of Tenovi. “It's proof of what’s possible in New Hampshire’s innovation ecosystem. We’re honored to share in NHLS's mission to connect, convene and advance the life sciences industry across the Granite State. New Hampshire continues to punch above its weight, attracting companies that are scaling nationally while staying rooted in collaboration, science, community and global impact."
“HiArc is proud to join New Hampshire Life Sciences. This partnership highlights our shared commitment to leading innovation and transforming patient care. HiArc has been developing and delivering complex medical instrumentation since 1980 and supporting breakthrough diagnostics for over four decades. Through our partnership with NHLS, we are looking forward to continuing to collaborate with industry leaders, sharing best practices, and contributing to initiatives that strength our industry and benefit our partners, clients, and community.” – Nate Doemling, President, HiArc
“I've been following the development of NHLS as it was getting going and looking for its initial members,” said Julie Runez, director of marketing for Lehnen Industrial Services. “It was something interesting right from the beginning. New Hampshire is growing in this whole field, and the more that we can do to support that community as a local resource, it's only good for us. As far as benefits, we've met new potential customers and collaborators at just about every event.”
"Following the grand opening of our Aseptic Fill-Finish Center of Excellence in Salem, we are proud to join the NHLS community and work alongside other innovative organizations driving growth and scientific advancement across the region,” said Dean Bornilla, Head of Commercial, Pace Life Sciences.
MadgeTech of Warner recently attended its first NHLS event. We are really excited to get more involved with other NHLS members,” said Meredith Orbacz, MadgeTech marketing manager.
